Who Qualifies for Hospice Care?
Hospice care is designed for individuals facing a life-limiting illness with a prognosis of six months or less, should the condition follow its natural course. It is appropriate when curative treatments are no longer effective, appropriate, or desired.

Eligibility Includes:

A diagnosis of a life-limiting illness

Choosing comfort-focused care over curative treatments

Experiencing multiple symptoms that impact quality of life

Frequent hospitalizations or emergency room visits

Discontinuation of aggressive or life-prolonging treatments
Note: It is not necessary to be homebound to receive hospice services.

PAYMENT INFORMATION
Medicare pays 100% of allowable charges, including charges for medication, durable medical equipment, medical supplies, respite care, and care related to the hospice.
